More than just a letter distinguishes these M10 micro gearmotors from our popular N10 (and N20) models! They might just be the next big thing, by which we mean they’re really tiny! Continue reading to understand why this product is marked *beta* – it’s important!


We worked with our brushed motor suppliers to develop an even-more-power-dense alternative to the fabled N10, and the result is on-paper-performance that puts most N-class motors to shame in a smaller formfactor, with a 33% weight saving. These things pack neodymium magnets and all. At their nominal voltage of 6V, our M10 motors stall at ~0.8A with a stall torque of up to 0.45 kg/cm.

That said, they are an experiment! N10s and N20s are a known quantity in the world of tiny robots, but the M10 is new. We have produced just a handful of units in 3 ratios to test the waters before a larger batch. Our own testing shows an alignment with the datasheets, but the truth is, only real-world test data will show if they deserve our hype. They might be awesome. They might be too delicate. We don’t know!

To reiterate, these are an experimental product and we can’t make bold promises about their reliability or longevity. We’re releasing them “early” as they have been heavily requested after our hinting online, and we’re hoping to gather enough data to determine whether changes are needed before we risk on a big batch. In the meantime, you get fun tiny motors for cheap, whilst stocks last!
