The Mars RB180 is our take on the standard 180 class of motor, and we have developed it with a specific goal in mind: to make the most of this formfactor. The RB180 packs serious power and will be an upgrade over most others, but we stopped short of the knife-edge of overheating, meaning it will deliver performance reliably. In numbers, that means a nippy 25,000 RPM at 12V and a stall current of 7.5A.
Featuring real carbon brushes, neutral timing and cooling slots (admittedly, mostly because cooling slots look cool).
A single package contains:
- 1x motor
The key physical details are:
- Dimensions (W*H*L): 20.2*15.3*~36.5mm + ~7mm shaft
- Shaft dimensions (D*L): ⌀2*~7mm (measured from motor face. Stick-out from bushing ~5.6mm)
- Face mounting holes: ⌀12.4mm M2x2 (compatible with any typical 180-size motor mount)
- Weight: 31g
- Stamped steel housing with carbon brushes
Electrical attributes:
- Input voltage: nominally 12V, 0.8-15V (ideal for 3s LiPo)
- No-load RPM: ~26,000 RPM
- Loaded RPM: ~24,000 RPM
- No-load current: 0.25A
- Working current: 0.3A-6A
- Stall current: 7.5A
- Stall torque: 0.28 kg/cm
We can supply this motor or any “standard” model of brushed motor like it in higher quantities. Please get in touch at sales@ranglebox.com if you require a custom solution at scale.
