The Ranglebox Saturn planetary gearbox is a highly versatile 2-stage 19:1 epicyclic reducer for motors with a 5mm shaft. It features M5 mounting holes on 3 sides, dual bearings supporting a ⌀12mm keyed output and 4 standard motor mounting patterns. This is the ideal heavy duty transmission solution for any mid-size robotics project!
The Saturn gearbox sandwiches an all-steel gearset with 6061-T6 aluminium endplates, fastened with all high tensile hardware. A pair of premium DUNLOP bearings ensure the toughness extends to the output shaft, which by the way, is replaceable!
A single package contains:
- 1x gearbox
- 1x 5mm interference fit D-bore pinion gear
- 1x 4mm full length steel shaft key
- 1x M5*10 high tensile caphead screw and M5*25mm washer (a shaft end bolt)
- 4x M3*12 high tensile caphead screws (to fit our RB4250 Saturn motor and many others)

Long-term Ranglebox customers may recall our popular Saturn-16 from 2015-2017. The new Saturn 19:1 model is a spiritual successor to the old favourite.
